NLP

NLP, or Neuro-Linguistic Programming helps you change your mindset which is a collection of beliefs that we hold about ourselves and the world. These beliefs impact our behaviour and how we show up in different situations and relationships. Using NLP strategies, we can understand how our beliefs impact our thoughts and how our thoughts lead to our behaviour. NLP works to address how we can look at thoughts and language and change behaviour. We all have stories we tell ourselves and these have been learnt from our caregivers and our society. When these stories are unhelpful and impact on our behaviour negatively, it’s time to look at how they can be changed. NLP helps us by building resilience, adopting a growth mindset and helping us to move forward.

Bereavement Counselling. Grief is a natural response to losing someone or something important to us. Despite what we are told there is no wrong or right way to grieve, and it feels different for all of us. Bereavement counselling is getting support to help with your feelings of loss and grief which helps us to understand our feelings. Bereavement can be a very emotionally distressing experience and can leave us feeling confused, isolated and afraid. Working through these feelings of loss with a trusted practitioner can help us to come to terms with the void in our lives.

Using an individualized approach and working together we can appreciate our unique experience of loss in a safe and supportive space. It also helps us to understand and process what is ‘normal’ for us in terms of the complexity and range of painful emotions we are going through daily.

Bereavement counselling helps us to integrate our feelings of loss into our lives and supports us to adapt our lives without our dear loved ones.

EMDR Therapy or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a psychotherapy treatment that is designed to alleviate the distress we attach to traumatic memories. It enables individuals to heal from the symptoms attached to disturbing life experiences. EMDR helps us to confront our past trauma in a safe environment without re-traumatizing us. This therapy uses bilateral brain stimulation, either through hand tapping or eye movement, to desensitize ourselves from our distressing memories. EMDR helps the mind and body to heal from our trauma and is an extensively researched and effective method proven to help us recover from trauma and PTSD. It is also helpful for treating anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions and other life experiences that cause us distress.
